About FTL Easy

FTL Easy exists because posting a truckload should take under 60 seconds and should not require calling three brokers to get a quote. It does not always work that way. This is an attempt to close that gap.

What this is

FTL Easy is a lane composer. You type where your freight is going, see an instant mileage and transit estimate, and post a load — all in one flow. Posting creates a free Dock Optimizer account via an emailed link. No password required to start. The load goes to the Dock Optimizer marketplace, where your own carriers, the open market, or your own trucks can cover it.

What this is not

This is not a broker. FTL Easy does not take a load and find a carrier on your behalf. It is a tool for connecting your freight to the Dock Optimizer platform, which handles load posting, carrier matching, and communication. The platform is transparent about who is covering your freight.

This is also not a rate oracle. The mileage estimate on the front page uses a haversine road-factor approximation, not a live routing engine. It is accurate enough to orient expectations. The quote from the load posting workflow reflects real carrier economics on your lane on the day you post.

The network

FTL Easy is part of a network of freight tools built on the Dock Optimizer platform:

The freight glossary on this site is the shared reference for the network. The other sites link here rather than duplicating definitions.

The content on this site

The guides and glossary on this site are written for load planners and transportation coordinators who are mid-task — not for people who are new to freight. The goal is to answer the operational question first and sell second. If a page on this site feels like a marketing pitch, that is a bug.

No invented numbers appear in the guides. The truckload rates guide, for example, explains what moves rates without quoting per-mile averages that would be outdated by the time you read them. When sourced external data is referenced, it is linked directly rather than restated.
